Business Angel Network (SEA) Ltd (SEABANet)
is a non-profit public company limited by guarantee and
registered with the Registrar of Companies and Businesses
in Singapore.
SEABANet has been formed to develop
a strong, cooperative network of angel investors in South
East Asia, with linkages to well known angel associations
across the USA, Europe, Japan, Korea and Asia.
SEABANet Thailand Chapter was formed
in July 2001 to facilitate Angel investor activities in
the Thai market. The Thailand Chapter has been very fortunate
to receive full support from the Security Exchange of Thailand’s
Market for Alternative Investment (MAI) in our inaugural
and subsequent events.

SEABANet will be a forum that will
empower angel investors to make better decisions by sharing
best practices, investment experience, network contacts
and knowledge about cross-border tax, investment and legal
matters related to angel investing.
SEABANet - Mission Statement
1) Promoting the development of the angel
investment community in South East Asia through educational
conferences/workshops, research and dissemination of information
resources, networking events and regular exchange with other
IAII chapters in the world as well as other angel investor
organizations worldwide;
2) Contributing to improving the regulatory
environments and corporate governance systems for angel
investment and harmonization of regulations across countries
to promote international angel investment;
3) Promoting interest in angel investment
activities in the South East Asian region, by providing
a common platform for angel investors from the different
countries in the region to become more aware of angel investment
opportunities in other countries in the region, and by facilitating
start-ups in one country in the region to gain better access
to angel investors from other countries in the region.
